PILKE Suspension Light Verna 77 Birch

Verna 77 is made out of birch plywood and designed by Finnish Simo Serpola. The large lamp hanging construction is enforced with 3 metal wires. This year the Verna series won the 2023 Good Design® Award from The Chicago Athenaeum.

Pilke Lights is a Finnish lighting brand focusing on sustainable wooden designs that combine traditional handicraft techniques with innovative technologies. Pilke is best known for the Pilke Signature Collection designed by Tuukka Halonen and crafted from Finnish plywood. The brand is a part of the Swedish design company Maze Interior and the brands of Maze are all built on the values of what they call ”Slow production” where local production, responsible recycled and natural material selections, and avoidance of air freight are some of the key aspects.
